The truth that I need to start preaching is that babies and spring blossoms are magic. There is something about a grassy knoll blanketed in petals falling from full blooms that just sort of sweeps you away and then you add a charming baby that has just learned to sit up on her own and it’s game over. She’s reaching to pinch every petal between her fingertips and a few (quite a few) of them try to make it into her mouth. Of course, I don’t let her eat the petals and she makes me work back and forth as I lunge to snatch them away when I need to (the perfect hamstring workout), but our eyes meet and we know that we’re both having a splendid time basking in the beautiful springtime sun. Ahhh, more of this please.
